Forest Hill
Homeowners'
Association

Early years

Development of the Forest Hill Village started in 1946. The first house, which served as a sales office, was built at the corner of Oak and Forest Dr. The first house was sold in April of 1947.

It was no telephone service. The only telephone were in the construction shack on the corner of Richmond and Montclair. We finally had telephones about the middle of 1949. Sufficient acreage in Forest Hill was set aside for building churches and many denominations have taken advantage of this.

Also space was made available for parks, and Forest Hill has four parks within the area.

The original Forest Hill Elementary was built in1951, followed by Jackson Junior High School in 1957

The first houses in Forest Hill sold for $8,000-$10,000. Larger houses built in the 60’s sold for $15,000-$20,000.

Volunteers

Residents actively volunteering. It is what makes Forest Hill a great neighborhood.

Our neighborhood association is not a faceless management company; it is residents like you managing the finances, writing the articles in each quarter’s newsletter, maintaining deed restrictions, planning social events and more.

Together, we maintain a community you can be proud to be part of, and to which you can contribute your time and talents.

Whether you own or rent your home, you can volunteer in any of these areas by contacting any member of a committee or our Board of Directors.

Because we are based solely on volunteers, we encourage you to spend time on an established project or contact our President to start one of your very own! Though we all have tremendous demands upon our time, Forest Hill is only as great as our volunteers.
